On this page we have links on the right hand column to pages that explore a number of topics
which explain what we believe the Bible teaches. You will notice that in most of the expositions there are
references to numerous Bible quotes. We recommend that you print out a copy and look at the various quotations in
your own Bible.
Christadelphians encourage a regular daily reading of the Bible. We believe this is the way to
access the information required to develop and maintain a true and fulfilling relationship with God. The Bible is
the message from God for us today, written by His prophets under inspiration of His spirit. Jesus said "the words
that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." John 6:63. When the word of God is understood and
believed, it has the power to change our lives and turn us into "children of God".
With this in mind we believe it is vital to have, as a foundation for our faith, a correct
understanding of the basics of what the Bible teaches.
So we put the question, does the Christianity of the churches truly represent Bible teaching? The sad truth is,
that among Christianity today, the Bible is increasingly becoming redundant. Most of Christianity believe all
people have an immortal soul; the Bible however never mentions an immortal soul anywhere, in fact it says the soul
dies (Ezekiel 18:4, 20). Christianity teaches that the righteous go to heaven. The Bible clearly teaches that the
reward of the righteous is upon the earth (Matthew 5:5; Psalm 37:9,11,22,29; Psalm 72; Isaiah 11). The true gospel
concerns the establishment of the Kingdom of God on earth at the return of Jesus Christ who will come to reign as
the king over a transformed earth.
Belief in the Bible is not just "blind faith". The evidence for the truth of the Bible is provable by the
reliability of it's prophecy. The Old Testament book of Daniel (Written around 600BC) details the rise and fall of
four great world empires: Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome. His amazing prophecies accurately foretold of great
political events in the Middle East and Europe that would unfold over a period of 2,500 years.
All the major events of Jewish history are detailed in the Bible; in some cases, thousands of years before the
events came to pass. The Roman invasion of Israel in 70AD scattered Jewry throughout the whole world. Since then,
numerous Bible students who understood Bible prophecy, confidently wrote of the coming rebirth of the nation in the
land of Israel. And now, just as Bible prophecy had predicted, this has become a fact of history. And the Bible
makes it clear that this is a sign to all the world that Jesus Christ will return to prevent the earth from being
destroyed by humanity. There are more than one hundred references in both the old and new testaments of the Bible
that foretell of the return of Jesus Christ to the earth. He will come to judge the world, and with the assistance
of His true followers, He will subdue and destroy all the existing political and religious powers. The world will
experience incredible earthquake activity that will set the scene for the construction of a massive temple in the
land of Israel which will become the religious and political centre of the Kingdom of God on the earth.
God promises a place in that kingdom to people who He invites through belief in the Bible gospel. These happy
people will become His children, immortal and perfect like Him, forever.
